... e o perú fugiu
"From ruin is a storm of iron and wind raging on an ice-covered plateau. The white fire pushes back the corrosion that invades the smooth surface of the most vulnerable bodies: we move backwards until we are luminous as newborns. We wait, expectant, for an end equal to a beginning. In the tense immobility of this suspended time, only the torn spoils of the icy wind endure.
No shelter, only sky."
Candura e Rui Chafes
Fevereiro 2023
March 11 - April 30, 2023
From Ruin is a project born from the collaboration of sculptor Rui Chafes, the music of Candura and Carpintarias de São Lázaro.
This is a rare opportunity to witness a work of co-creation in a dialogue between sculpture, music and architecture, in the space and programmatic line of crossovers so dear to Carpintarias de São Lázaro. The unveiling will be on March 11; a moment for the public to enter the space and abandon themselves to the sound journey led by Candura.
After the catharsis, the traces and resounding echoes of that moment will remain.
The opening / concert will take place on March 11, 2023, at 21h30, with doors opening at 21h00. The tickets, with a single price of 10 Euros, can be purchased on the Resident Advisor platform (https://ra.co/events/1665131) and at the Carpintarias box office, on the same day, from 7:30 pm on.
The installation may be visited until April 30, 2023 during the usual exhibition hours at Carpintarias de São Lázaro: Thursday to Sunday, from noon to 6pm.
