Carpintarias de São Lázaro complies with the safety standards recommended by the General Directorate of Health (DGS).​
Throughout the program, the Cultural Center ensures that visitors use their masks (except children), disinfect their hands, clean their shoes and measure the temperature before entering the space. The entrance and exit are divided to ensure safe circulation.
Carpintarias has a limited capacity to reduce crossing between people and periodically checks the social distancing. There is also a constant concern to keep the space ventilated and airy.​
For people with reduced mobility, the Center has an accessibility platform lift located on the entrance stairs and an elevator that accesses all floors.​
Finally, Carpintarias de São Lázaro respects the safety measures imposed by DGS during the COVID19 pandemic and is, therefore, only active and scheduled when the law allows.​
