Oil Room :: Per Barclay

Exhibition
Oil Room :: PER BARCLAY

Extension of the exhibition of the Norwegian artist:
01 - 30 August

Opening Hours: Thursday to Sunday, from 12pm to 6pm.

The "Oil room" series has begun in the 1980s and it remains, to this day, a central part of the renowned Norwegian artist's work: these large format photographs depict spaces whose floors have been covered with dark oil and which reflect the surrounding space.

This format, central to his body of work, inspired Per Barclay to propose a large-format installation, with a dark oil surface that covers Carpintarias de São Lázaro's floor, creating a large mirror which reflects the iconic checkered windows of the façade into the space.
